Now that the Desert to Sea book is published  I thought it would be fun to share some of the photos of Ric Rac Razzamatazz that didn't make it to the book.  It was an interesting process because photos I would be more than happy to use for my blog just didn't feel perfect enough for permanent print. I have to take my hat off to all those photographers who take amazing photos of quilts. Getting the right shot is not as easy as it looks.

3 fabulous things happened this week!

I've been a bit speechless, in a good way, since seeing the cover of Quiltmania's newest publication Simply Moderne.  Partly because I was busy falling off my chair in surprise, and then because I've been happy dancing and cheering with delight,  because they chose my Bubbles quilt for the front cover!! Yes, that's right, I'm a cover girl!  Awesome huh?!

A few little purchases and winners

It seems like ages since I bought myself new fabric. When I moved into my sewing room and consolidated my stash into one room I realised how much fabric I have. Enough for a life time! It doesn't mean I'm going to stop buying fabric but I have slowed up for now.   But it's still fun to buy pretty things. Which leads to the question... What do you buy you have overflowing stash of fabric but you're at the Springwood Quilt Show surrounded by colourful stalls??
